Course Overview
This course is designed for all students who want to explore and grow their instrumental musical abilities in a fun, supportive group environment. No prior experience is necessary—just a passion for playing an instrument!
Throughout the year, you’ll learn the fundamentals of music theory, sight-reading, ensemble skills and technique for your instrument. We will play a wide variety of musical styles, including pop, classical, folk, and musical theater. You’ll also learn how to work effectively as part of a team, build confidence, and perform in front of an audience.
Performance & Learning Opportunities
- Parade: We will perform in the Four Town Fair Parade as part of our marching band unit in September.
- Two Official Concerts: We will have concerts in the winter, and spring. These performances are a great way to celebrate our progress and share our music with the community.
- Musical Learning Opportunities: In addition to our concerts, there will be optional opportunities to participate in school-wide events, community performances, and auditions. These will be announced throughout the year.
